Reading Magic Book Club Schedule: 1st Sunday each February, April, June, October, December (notes: we do not meet in August; the April 2007 meeting will be held Sunday March 25 due to many school districts' spring break)

Started in the spring of 2004, FCC-DV's book club for kids has been very successful! Beginning with roughly 10 members ages 7+, the girls and several moms met that March to define the structure of the club and vote on our first book.

In the fall of 2005, our Reading Magic kids entered 4th grade and up...and we started a new group for 2nd/3rd graders, China Readers. Both groups meet the first Sunday of every other month (Feb/April/June/Oct/Dec - no summer meeting) at rotating locations (members' homes). A group of books is presented at each meeting and the children make the final selection through a vote. Book categories include Mysteries, Animals, Classics, China, Science Fiction, etc.
